Tasting notes
The 2016 Gigondas Les Dessous Des Dentelles is slightly more fruit-forward yet is cut from the same cloth as the Le Parpaillon cuvée with its sweet strawberry and raspberry fruits, medium to full body, sweet tannins, and forward, beautifully balanced style.

Even better than the 2015, the 2016 Gigondas Les Dessous des Dentelles is a fine effort, perfumed like flowering garrigue, it then moves into red fruit on the full-bodied palate. It's supple, not overly rich, but fresh and peppery, with a mouthwatering finish outlined by silky tannins. It should drink well for a decade.
Deep bright-rimmed ruby. A highly aromatic bouquet evokes ripe blackberry and cherry cola, along with suggestions of smoky minerals, lavender and allspice. Deep, round and expansive, offering concentrated dark fruit flavors and a hint of candied flowers. Powerful yet graceful in style, showing impressive balance, fine-grained balance and strong finishing cling.
