Score 94/100 · Drink 2026-2050, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Apr 2016

Fermented and aged for 18 months in stainless steel, the 2008 Scheurebe Trockenbeerenauslese No 11 Zwischen den Seen has an intense and concentrated ripe peach bouquet with salty licorice notes. Highly sweet and concentrated but also mineral and salty on the palate, this is a very rich and fruit-intense Scheurebe; it has ripe stone fruit flavors and a very generous, viscous texture, but also a very fine and vital acidity of 9.7 grams per liter. This wine fermented to 5% alcohol and has a heavy residual sugar of 363 grams per liter. This extremely sweet wine needs another ten or more years to gain more transparency and finesse.
