The 2008 L'Ancely Coteaux du Languedoc la Clape shows some evolution in its color (bricking at the rim) and in its aromas, which are meaty and mushroomy. It's still full-bodied, rich and velvety on the palate, showing no signs of slowing down there, finishing long, briny and fresh.

100% Mourvèdre, 60 year old vines. 24 months in one and two year old 600 litre barrels. Posh oak and gorgeously succulent fruit – a real sophisticated, developed, tasty style with loads of complexity. Fantastic. (RH)
