Tasting notes
Inky purple. Pungent aromas of blueberry, cassis, hickory smoke and garrigue Lush, sweet dark fruit flavors are impressively expansive, with notes of candied flowers and succulent herbs providing nuance. This seamless wine, which finishes with a strong echo of creamy dark berries, is drinking very well right now.

The regular cuvee of 2007 Gigondas is nearly as good as the top cuvee. Its dark ruby/purple color is accompanied by sweet notes of licorice, roasted herbs, black currants, cherries, spice box, and unsmoked cigar tobacco. The wine reveals broad, layered, medium to full-bodied flavors, a good texture, excellent purity, and admirable length. It should drink well for 7-8 years. No known American importer.
