Tasting Notes
The 2024 Lafon-Rochet has a discreet and elegant nose, led by cassis and with some menthol notes. On the palate, red berries take over from the cassis, with great tension. The crunchy fruit is backed by a noticeable framework of opulent tannins. This will need a few years to show its full potential and soften the tannin structure that currently dominates the palate. Aged in 40% new oak. 13% alcohol and 3.67pH. Blend: 72% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc

A charming, supple, elegant wine in the vintage, the 2024 Château Lafon-Rochet reveals ripe red and black fruits, spicy tobacco nuances, and nicely integrated oak. Medium-bodied, nicely concentrated, and balanced, it finishes with solid length and ripe tannins.
Deep garnet-purple colored. Notes of black raspberries and fresh red currant pop from the glass, followed by hints of fragrant soil, rose bud tea, and underbrush. The light to medium-bodied palate is refreshing and pure with grainy tannins and savory undertones to the red fruit flavors, finishing minerally.
The 2024 Lafon-Rochet offers up aromas of pipe tobacco, sweet berries and fresh herbs, followed by a medium-bodied, soft and open-knit palate.
