Score 93/100 · Drink 2019-2040, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Mar 2020
The intensely yellow-colored 2007 Riesling Smaragd Ried Steinertal displays a ripe and elegant yet coolish, slightly taut bouquet with creamy and herbal aromas and some crystalline and flinty as well as caramelly and yeasty notes. Fresh and remarkably racy on the palate, this is an intense, straight, tight and crystalline Riesling classic with salivating salinity and remarkably purity. A gorgeous wine to be served with fish or Tafelspitz. Served blind at the domain in September 2019.
