The classic 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape from this terrific estate checks in as 65% Grenache, 15% Syrah, 10% Mourvèdre, and the rest Clairette Rose, Cinsault, and Grenache Gris. It has a beautiful sense of freshness in its ripe red and black berry fruits as well as classic notes of peppery garrigue, spring flowers, camphor, and spice. These all carry to a medium-bodied Châteauneuf du Pape with a pure, elegant mouthfeel, ripe, polished tannins, and a terrific sense of minerality on the finish. It shows the pure, polished, elegant style of the estate while still bringing good depth of fruit and concentration. It will have 15 years of longevity.

Crafted from vines planted on galets roulés and safres (a mix of sand and limestone), the 2022 Pied de Baud from Domaine de Beaurenard shows a less lively, more shy bouquet than the cuvée Boisrenard, evoking aromas of licorice, spices, dark wild berries, fresh thyme and bay leaf. Medium to full-bodied, dense and rich, enrobing and layered, it's perfectly balanced with structured tannins and a powerful finish. Fermented in egg-shaped tanks and matured for 24 months in stainless steel, this blend of equal parts Mourvèdre and Grenache promises great potential for those willing to give it time to evolve. Produced at only 1,600 bottles.

Rose petal, dried herbs, ripe strawberry and cherry cola elements introduce the 2022 Châteauneuf-du-Pape, a full-bodied and structured red that’s both juicy and concentrated. Building upon ripe tannins, the 2022 contains spot-on balance and will benefit from three more years in a cool cellar.

A relatively new release, the 2022 Châteauneuf Du Pape Pied De Baud comes from the Le Pied de Baud lieu-dit and is an even split of Grenache and Mourvèdre that's resting in foudre. It has a broad, expansive, mouth-filling, medium to full-bodied style as well as classic spicy red fruits, some garrigue and loamy, earthy, meaty nuances, plenty of tannins, solid mid-palate density, and outstanding length. It's another impeccably made wine from this estate.
