60-year-old Grenache vines, half and half Gris and Blanc. Yield 15 hl/ha. Aged for a year in barrels, half new, half one year old . Confounds my previous conviction that Grenache Blanc is fat and heavy, presumably because of the extraordinary soils in the upper Agly valley. High-toned, high acidity very youthful wine that tastes as though it comes from a cooler even higher vineyard than the Soula from nearby. Not yet ready but beautifully made and worth waiting for.
