Score 92/100 · Drink 2024-2040, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Mar 2020
From mica schist soils and entirely raised in stainless steel, the 2018 Riesling Ried Bruck offers an intense and coolish bouquet of ripe stone fruits from a cool climate intermixed with the coolish, clear and spicy-mineral notes of crystalline rock. Round and elegant on the palate, this is an intense and fleshy Riesling with clear, lush fruit but straight and refined mineral acidity and coolish, spicy grip and tension of the schist soils. This is a generous but refined and elegant Riesling that should be aged for another three or four years. The grapes were picked in the first half of October. Bottled with 12.5% alcohol in April 2019. Tasted at the domain in September 2019.
