Score 88/100 · Drink 2018-2021, Stephan Reinhardt, Wine Advocate, Dec 2018

The 2010 Sankt Georgen Grüner Veltliner has a pretty reductive, chalky bouquet with citrus but also hydrogen sulfide and wet dog fur aromas. Fresh, lean and salty on the palate, with a lot of grip and astringent tannins on the finish, the 2010 is pure and fresh but has a drying finish that doesn't stimulate me due to its brittleness. The wine might be elegant and tensioned, but it virtually ends in a desert of chalk and H2S. Tasted December 2017.
