A ripe and fruity rosé champagne with stacks of nectarine, ripe melon and strawberry aromas. This may not be complex or sophisticated, but it is delicious. Long, zesty finish with very harmonious mousse. Drink now.
63% Chardonnay, 24% Pinot Noir, 13% Pinot Meunier. Fermentation in stainless steel, full malolactic, second fermentation in the cellars of Union Champagne, Avize. Disgorged March 2023, dosage 8 g/l. Delicate ‘partridge-eye’ hue with red-berry fruit character and crisp acidity. Certainly not an over-sweet rosé champagne and the better for it. (AWH)
Interesting aromas of tobacco leaf and sliced dried strawberry with some citrus, too. Medium to full body. Firm phenolics in the mid-palate and a medium finish. Drink now.
