Full bottle 1,601 g. 46% reserve wines. Bottled 2021. Dosage 8 g/l, which seems high for Extra Brut. Sweet and inviting brioche aroma. Toasty in aroma and even more so on the palate, with a light note of struck match. A big rather than an elegant wine with masses of flavour – both citrus and toasty/nutty. Tastes dry. More mouth-filling than long. (JH)

The NV Extra Brut Blanc de Blancs Grand Cru displays a luminous citrus color followed by a reductive yet intense bouquet with a concentrated lemon and chalky expression intertwined with fresh popcorn notes. Pure and fresh on the palate, with lemon and prominent chalky flavors, this is a full-bodied, complex, very elegant and refined yet pure and vital Blanc de Blancs with a persistent chalky and salty finish. Provided with a firm structure, this is an impressive Blanc de Blancs to be served as an aperitif but also with seafood and white fish. Tasted August 2018.
