60% Pinot Meunier, 40% Chardonnay. Oak aged. Disgorged February 2022. Base wine is 2019. Reserve wines from 2012 to 2018. Bready, buttery, fresh apple, bright and focused with a dry but not severe palate. Body is relatively light but the oak adds good spice. An interesting combination with good balance and classic styling. (RH)

The Champagne S.A. Sans Année Extra Brut Autre Cru is 60% Meunier and the rest Chardonnay, with the base wine from the 2019 vintage, and it has one gram per liter of dosage. Pale yellow with a hint of green tinge, the nose is fresh with tropical fruit of pineapple and white strawberry, as well as chalky earth. The palate offers a refined mousse and is ripe with apricot and a seductive smokiness. This is a fantastic entry wine to drink over the next 10 years. Disgorged February 2022.
