Tasting notes
The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc Vogelzang Vineyard is another extraordinary example of the variety from Dragonette Cellars. It's ripe and gregarious, with scents of peach cobbler, honey toast, tarragon and exotic spices. The palate is satiny with concentrated, layered fruits, seamless acidity and a long, singularly exotic finish.

The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc Vogelzang Vineyard is the most exuberant of the Dragonette Sauvignon Blancs. Jasmine, pineapple, mint, tangerine oil and mint fill out the layers nicely. The 2019 is a heady, opulent wine, but it also has plenty of freshness too.
The 2019 Sauvignon Blanc Vogelzang Vineyard might be the best of the trio and just blew me away. More subtle and reserved, its thrilling notes of crushed limes, lemons, sappy flowers, and minerality give way to a medium to full-bodied, deep, layered, multi-dimensional Sauvignon Blanc with tremendous mid-palate depth, bright acidity, and laser-like precision. You could put this in a blind lineup of top Bordeaux Blanc and it would stand toe to toe. Hats off to the team at Dragonette for a commitment to fashioning incredible, age-worthy Sauvignon Blanc that’s as good as anything out there!
