Tasting notes
Stunning nose of a wide spectrum of exotic fruit, with tons of papaya and mangosteen. Stunning concentration and vibrancy, with so much herbal freshness alongside the exotic fruit coulis character. Then comes the grapefruity acidity and the salty touch at the very long, straight finish. Drink or hold.

The 2019 Trockenbeerenauslese No. 3 Scheurebe Zwischen den Seen offers explosive tropical fruit aromas on the iodine and caramelly nose, with notes of baby pineapples, mango, papaya, lychee and flint stones. Full-bodied, intense and round on the palate, this is a very elegant, finessed and pure, highly stimulating TBA with remarkable salinity and straight, mineral freshness intertwined with lemon flavors on the finish. There are passionfruit aromas on the palate, lychee juice and candied ginger notes on the aftertaste. Impressive! 10.5% stated alcohol. Natural cork. Tasted at the domaine in July 2022.
RS 210.1 g/l, TA 8.6 g/l. Fermented and matured in stainless-steel tanks for 28 months. Pale gold. Distinctly aromatic, even mineral, on the nose with the Riesling genes evident. But on the palate it is very, very much sweeter than either Nr 1 or Nr 2. Full-on TBA! Masses of extract and opulence with a light green-fruit note on the persistent finish. Serious, and seriously sweet, wine with the (notable) acidity and the (notable) sweetness not yet married. (JR)
