Score 89-91/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Jan 2012
(racked at the end of August and now in stainless steel tank): Good full red. Redcurrant, spices and sexy soil tones on the nose; much more showy and complete than the Beaune du Chateau. Ripe, supple and creamy in the mouth, with good sweetness and delineation to the redcurrant and spice flavors. Finishes with lovely length and vinosity.

Richer soil with less minerality than the Grèves. Very sweet and solid. Crisp structure. Very blustering and ripe. No finesse but big and fruity. Long. (JR)
