Score 90/100 · Drink 2015-2020, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Oct 2015

Similar in style to traditional cuvée, the 2013 Châteauneuf du Pape le Puy Rolland is 100% Grenache that spent 18 months all in older foudre. It too offers a perfumed, medium-bodied, supple and sexy style to go with lots of wild strawberry, dried underbrush, kirsch, and river rock like aromas and flavors. It is a relatively forward Châteauneuf du Pape that’s geared for drinking in its youth, but it will dish out tons of pleasure and is a great drink.
