Tasting notes
The 2019 Saint-Aubin 1er Cru En Remilly offers up aromas of pear, white flowers, toasted hazelnuts, beeswax and nutmeg, followed by a medium to full-bodied, bright and tightly wound palate that's racier and more incisive than the open, succulent Sur Gamay.

The 2019 Saint-Aubin En Remilly 1er Cru has a little more depth and intensity compared to the Sur Gamay: green apples and wet limestone aromas unfolding nicely. The palate is very composed and harmonious, pretty, touches of blackcurrant leaf infusing the green apple notes that dovetail into peachy/grapefruit notes towards the concise finish. Very fine.
Five to seven barrels. 15–20% new oak at this level. Tank sample. Clean and sprightly. Hint of pear juice and good acidity. Pure and clean with a good savoury undertow. (JR)
