Score 90/100 · Drink 2025-2029, Kristaps Karklins, Wine Advocate, Jul 2025
Composed entirely of fruit from Mareuil-sur-Aÿ’s south-facing lower slope and vinified in oak, Pouillon’s latest NV Brut Premier Cru Rosé is based on the 2022 vintage and supplemented by 20% reserve wines from 2021—incorporating the more phenolic fractions. Its delicate hue is derived from an 18-hour maceration with the skins. Aromatically, it delivers sweet wild berries, spices and orange with a faint hint of iris. On the palate, it is medium- to full-bodied, flavorful and gastronomic, with succulent yet vibrant acidity, a pinpoint mousse and a long, perfumed finish enriched by bitter phenolics.
