The 2014 Bourgogne Rouge, which sees between 10% or 15% new wood, has a light, floral bouquet with hints of rose petals infusing the red cherry fruit. The palate is well balanced with fine tannin, well judged acidity, pure and quite "comely" in style -- so much so that I could have happily drunk the rest of the sample the rest of the afternoon! One of the best examples of generic red Burgundy that I encountered.
