The 2020 Mâcon-Pierreclos Le Chavigne has a taut and mineral-driven bouquet, showing a very slight reduction. The palate is beautifully balanced with lightly honeyed notes. A little nutty/smoky element segues into a slight and very appealing, nuanced flor-like tincture toward the precise, almost understated finish. Very fine.

A lovely wine, the 2020 Mâcon-Pierreclos Le Chavigne wafts from the glass with scents of pear, freshly baked bread, clear honey, almond paste and nutmeg. Medium to full-bodied, ample and satiny, it's seamless and vibrant, with a lively spine of acidity and chalky finish. While it's one of the most immediate wines in the range, it will certainly reward bottle age.
