Tasting notes
The 2012 Champagne Grand Cru Blanc De Blancs Collection d'Auteur Millésime is sourced from Mesnil-sur-Oger and was vinified in small oak barrels on its lees for 10 months prior to bottling without undergoing malolactic fermentation. In the glass, it sports a bright medium yellow hue and is generous and forward on the nose, with layered aromas of grilled lemon, walnuts, toasted oak spice, poached apples, and brothy saline. The palate is balanced and full, with a compact and concentrated core that weaves through its long finish, with a peppery mousse and mouthwatering acidity. This is a boldly stated Blanc de Blancs to enjoy over the next 10-12 years. Disgorged in September 2022 with 3 grams per liter of dosage.

Disgorged in September 2020 with three grams per liter dosage, the 2012 Brut Collection d'Auteur is deep and vinous, unwinding in the glass with notes of pear, white flowers and freshly braked bread mingled with subtle hints of citrus zest and bee pollen. Full-bodied, elegantly muscular and seamless, with a deep and concentrated core, bright acids and a pretty pinpoint mousse, it's a seamless, understated blanc de blanc derived from holdings in prime lieux-dits Les Vaucherots, Les Coullemets du Midi, Les Finciarts and Les Chétillons.
