Tasting notes
The 2014 Brut Blanc de Noirs Terre d'Illite really impresses with a translucent, weightless expression of Meunier and Pinot Noir. Low dosage of 2 grams per liter works beautifully in bringing out the energy. Hints of dried orchard fruit, spice and crushed flowers develop with a bit of time in the glass. The blend of fruit from 23 tiny parcels in Cuisles yields a Champagne that is incredibly distinctive. Disgorged: July 31, 2019.

Disgorged in July 2019 with just two grams per liter dosage, the just-released 2014 Extra-Brut Blanc de Noirs Terre d'Illite is showing beautifully, mingling aromas of yellow orchard fruit and clear honey with hints of beeswax, cherries and mirabelle plums. Medium to full-bodied, fleshy and enveloping, it's textural and elegantly muscular, built around ripe but racy acids and complemented by a pinpoint mousse.
