Tasting notes
The 2018 Vosne-Romanée Village comes from 0.88 hectares of vine from five different lieux-dits. It offers fresh red cherry, bergamot and sous-bois aromas on the nose, which is open-knit and delineated and not the most powerful you will find in this vintage. The palate is medium-bodied with soft tannins on the entry and moderate acidity. Quite forward in style and perhaps just needing more structure to bolster the finish. I suspect this will be suitable for earlier drinking than some of its peers.
