Tasting notes
I finally got to retaste the 2015 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvée Cornelia Constanza, which I'm happy to say is looking better than when I first reviewed it. I still don't think it is the equal of the impressive 2016, but it is certainly worthy of an excellent rating. Round, supple cherry fruit fills the mouth, accented by vanilla and wood spice, while hints of licorice and garrigue emerge on the finish.

The 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Cornelia Constanza checks in as 100% Grenache from a tiny parcel of 100-year-old vines planted in the famed la Crau lieu-dit. It offers lots of kirsch liqueur, mulled-strawberries, garrigue and floral nuances in a medium to full-bodied, elegant, graceful style. It's already delicious and should keep through 2025. This cuvée also saw a small amount of stems and was partially vinified in new tulip shaped concrete tanks.
