Tasting notes
Sandrone's 1994 is a feminine-styled, elegant Barolo with a medium ruby color, and an attractive, smoky, black cherry, and raspberry-scented nose. Mineral and new oak notes are also apparent in the wine's fragrance. In the mouth, it is expansive and long, with considerable finesse and elegance. Not a blockbuster in the style of the 1990, it is an elegantly wrought wine with outstanding purity and harmony. Drink it over the next 4-5 years.
