Tasting notes
While the 2012 is upfront and ready to go, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley is more youthful and unevolved, with gorgeous blue fruits, graphite, tobacco, and violet aromas and flavors. Incredibly pure, it’s full-bodied and precise on the palate, with flawless balance. It doesn’t quite have the weight of the top single vineyards, but this thrilling, elegant yet powerful Cabernet has another two decades or more of longevity. Bravo!

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon (Napa Valley) is soft, pretty and nuanced. Sweet red berry, blueberries, mint, spices and flowers all blossom in the glass. Drink this racy, perfumed Cabernet Sauvignon over the next few years, while the flavors remain bright and the fruit is succulent. Sweet floral and spiced notes round out the finish. Vineyard sources are Kenefick Ranch, Tench and McGah.
