Tasting notes
(14%): Bright red-ruby. Brooding, slightly musky aromas of cassis, licorice, graphite and woodsmoke. A suave, fine-grained midweight with flavors of currant, chocolate and cedary oak accented by herb and mint nuances. This lively Cabernet displays good palate presence and a subtly rising finish featuring a fine dusting of tannins and notes of tobacco and milk chocolate. It should evolve gracefully.

The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon sees 18 months with up to 50% new French oak. It has a lifted blackberry and cedar scented bouquet with a pastille element that becomes more prominent with time. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannin, a touch of white pepper with a nicely structured, quite peppery finish. Drink over the next 3-5 years.
