Score 87/100 · Drink 2000, Jeb Dunnuck, Wine Advocate, Oct 2016

A wine that's on a gradual decline, the 1985 Chateauneuf du Pape has a healthy ruby/amber color as well as a fully mature bouquet of forest floor, mushrooms, dried herbs and a hint of caramel. The acidity is starting to stick out, but there's an enjoyable vibrancy here and it still offers pleasure.
