Tasting notes
Score 85/100 · Robert Parker, Jan 1997

Medium ruby with a great deal of brown at the edge, the 1971 Rayas has been fully mature since 1978. Broad, expansive, sweet, plummy fruit is very appealing. Ripe and round but beginning to fade, this wine was better and more concentrated 2-3 years ago. It must be drunk up. Last tasted 7/86.
