Score 89/100 · Drink 2020-2035, Anthony Mueller, Wine Advocate, Oct 2019
Mainly Cabernet Sauvignon with 13% Cabernet Franc and 6% Merlot, the 2014 GVB Red has an open-knit nose with lush, ripe fruit, oak tones and floral wafts. The palate is juicy with a dark fruit core that pairs with oak tones and is balanced in the mouth. The finish is approachable now but has some rigid tannins that will take some time to mellow. 7,200 bottles made.
