The 2018 Chablis Côte de Léchet 1er Cru, which is 75% matured in wood, seems to handle the oak better than the Troesme and allows more terroir to show through. The palate is fresh on the entry with a slightly honeyed texture, tropical notes peeking out toward the finish, where a lovely touch of spice leaves you wanting more. Enjoy over the next decade.

Tank sample. Dusty, creamy citrus with a touch of lime. Firm and fresh with some power and steeliness behind the fruit. (JH)
