Tasting notes
Compressed on the nose, the 2020 Vineyard Selection Cabernet Sauvignon offers notes of green bell pepper and dried herbs around a core of red fruit aromas that remain firm on the nose. Medium to full-bodied, the palate continues with a persistent herbal edge that mingles with succulent, juicy red fruits before notions of cherry skin and red plums vibrate with a fine mineral tension. After maturing for 19 months in French oak barrels, 40% new, 80,000 bottles were filled.

Full bottle 1,490 g. Tasted blind. Very dark crimson. Light nose with a bonfire hint. Quite soft – more like a feather pillow than a wine! Dry finish. Curious balance! A little bit of alcohol on the end. (JR)
Aromas of blackcurrants and plums with hints of walnuts, dark chocolate, some spices and cedar. Medium- to full-bodied with tight, slightly chewy tannins. Focused and compact with ripe yet fresh dark-fruit character and an earthy finish. Drink or hold.
