Score 90/100 · Drink 2007-2014, David Schildknecht, Wine Advocate, Oct 2007

The 2004 Cotes du Roussillon Villages Vieilles Vignes offers the nose blackberry, purple plum and candied cherry, with an oceanic note of salinity that blows all the way through this wine. Relatively lean in texture (and at only 12.5% alcohol), fresh and vigorous on the palate, it finishes with a sappy marriage of ripe but faintly fruit notes, iodine and salt. It would seem a good candidate for at least 5-7 years of aging. Importer: Weygandt-Metzler, Unionville, PA; tel. (610) 486-0800
