Bright, dark red. Aromas of raspberry and minerals are dominated in the early going by a strong clove note from the oak. Juicy and sweet on entry, then shows a slightly peppery quality to the aromas of red cherry, underripe raspberry and rose petal. The tannins are supple but the acidity seems a bit underripe, even tart.
