Score 83/100 · Drink 2016-2020, Neal Martin, Wine Advocate, Oct 2016

The 2013 Goulée has a light blackberry pastille-scented bouquet that, to be frank, just lacks the complexity one finds in other vintages. It just feels a little one-dimensional. The palate is medium-bodied with "stringy" tannin, the acidity nicely judged, a little softness on the savory, rather raw and herbaceous finish. I would be inclined to drink this over the next 3 or 4 years, no longer.

60% Merlot, 33% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc. Rich, succulent, sweet black fruit and an integrated herbal character. So smooth and polished – impeccable selection, no doubt. This has a very fine sheen. (RH)
