Tasting notes
The 2011 Chablis 1er Cru Mont de Milieu has a lovely peach scented nose that you might mistake for a Condrieu. That comes across on the palate, which is well balanced, quite powerful but not blowsy, with ginger and peach skin on the finish. I like the gust of this Mont de Milieu, perhaps richer and more advanced than I was expecting, yet still undeniably delicious.

Lime, crushed rocks and jasmine all burst from the glass in Droin's Chablis Mont de Milieu. One of the most beautiful wines of the year, the Mont de Milieu possesses striking aromatics and fabulous balance of fruit and acidity. This is a great showing.
Droin's 2011 Chablis Mont de Milieu bristles on the palate with notable energy and pure class. Today, the Mont de Milieu comes across as uncharacteristically soft and floral. I am curious to see where it goes over the coming year. Droin aged 22% of the wine in oak.
