The 2022 Chambolle-Musigny 1er Cru Les Gruenchers was showing particularly well, soaring from the glass with scents of raspberries, red plums and cherries mingled with rose petals and peony. Medium to full-bodied, pure and seamless, this vibrant, refined wine concludes with a long, saline finish.
100% whole clusters. Cask sample. Mid ruby. Floral notes above red-cherry fruit. There’s lots of spice, too, from the clusters. This is quite fine and at first discreet but shows real presence and density on the long finish. (MH)
