Tasting notes
(barrel-fermented and aged in new oak barriques ) Light bright yellow. Expansive aromas of pear and peach nectar and tangerine, joined in the glass by honey, vanilla and candied ginger nuances. Fleshy and broad on the palate, offering deeply concentrated, oak-spiced pit and orchard fruit flavors and a touch of bitter quinine that adds refreshing bite. Closes smooth and sappy, showing outstanding persistence and a suave floral nuance.

Not yet bottled, the 2015 Châteauneuf du Pape Clos de Beauvenir Blanc is more fresh and steely than previous vintages, yet still has medium to full-bodied richness, terrific notes of apple blossom, brioche and crushed rocks, impeccable balance and a great finish. I suspect it will benefit from a year in bottle and keep for a decade or more.
