Pepper, mint, petrol and flint on the nose. Reticent, backward and less sweet than the Mont de Milieu and Montmains, with a solid stony underpinning. Less expressive and open today but more typically Chablis in character. The flavors mount slowly and linger on the dry, youthful aftertaste.

(20% oak, including a small percentage of new wood; malo finished) Attractively pale, green-tinged color. Pure aromas of lime zest, ripe grapefruit, white flowers, mint and chalk. Densely packed but also vivid and sharply delineated. A stony, structured, firmly built wine with lovely purity and length. Still, this is not quite as filled in or gripping as in the more classic years.
