Score 89-91/100 · Drink 2024-2034, Neal Martin, Jan 2023
The 2021 Morey-Saint-Denis La Riotte 1er Cru, aged 30% in Wineglobe, is a little more tertiary on the nose compared to the Village Crus from Perrot-Minot; hints of peony emerging with time. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grain tannins, taut and fresh, perhaps just missing a bit of weight and grip on the finish that a more benevolent season would have bestowed. But it should give a decade of drinking pleasure.
