Tasting notes
A dense, exotic fruit-coulis character with plenty of floral honey and a touch of lemon zest. Stunning concentration and vibrancy, the acidity whipping the great, citrusy finish along at brisk clip. Drink or hold.

RS 226.1 g/l, TA 7.1 g/l. Aged for 18 months but no oak. Deep gold. There is the freshness of Scheurebe very evident on the nose but I wonder whether it really goes with massive sweetness? Already very molten and sweet and fully formed. Almost like golden syrup! But rescued by the variety's innate acidity. Very forward. I could imagine enjoying this with the sort of dried-fruit sweet things eaten at Christmas. (JR)
RS 289 g/l, TA 8.3 g/l. Deep coppery gold. Lightly fresh rather Riesling-like nose. Very nifty and lively with strong botrytis notes. Very flattering and dancing. Chewy end. Great excitement. (JR)
A wine that was brought up all in stainless steel, the 2015 Trockenbeerenauslese No 4 Scheurebe Zwischen den Seen is another sensational dessert wine that does everything right. Apricots, tangerines, quince, passion fruits, and loads of mint all emerge from this powerful yet elegant 2015 that has riveting acidity, an incredibly weightless texture, and a clean finish. It’s rare to fine a wine that carries such sweetness without any sense of weight or cloying fruit. With perfectly integrated acidity, drink it anytime over the coming 15-20 years.
