Score 89/100 · Drink 2025-2032, Neal Martin, Jun 2025

The 2023 Chablis Montée de Tonnerre 1er Cru has a fresh, vibrant nose with hints of white peach, Anjou pear and crushed stone that unfold nicely in the glass. The palate is balanced with orange cordial on the entry and fine acidity. Like some other Premier Crus this vintage, it lacks some mineralité and tension toward the finish. Tasted blind at the BIVB offices in Chablis.

Aromatic and with real substance and density on the palate. Lots to chew on. Just tails off a little on the end. (JR)
