Score 88/100 · Drink 2025-2032, Neal Martin, Jun 2025

The 2023 Chablis Vaucoupin 1er Cru has a more cohesive nose compared to its peers, with fresh green apple and citrus peel aromas, along with a touch of crushed stone. The palate is balanced with a lightly spiced entry, but it loses impetus halfway, so the finish just lacks the complexity that the aromatics deserve. Overall, it's not bad, but this could have been better. Tasted blind at the BIVB offices in Chablis.
