The 2023 Chablis Côte de Léchet 1er Cru, which sees no wood contact, has a pretty, more floral bouquet that opens nicely in the glass with hints of orange pith and persimmon. The palate is fresh on the entry with a fine bead of acidity. This is quite elegant and nuanced with a dab of peach on the finish. There's some very clever winemaking here and I would be tempted to give it a few years in bottle. Tasted blind at the BIVB offices in Chablis.
