Impressive density and brightness to this, with sliced apples, pears, flint and some oyster shells and gun metal. It\'s full-bodied with phenolic tension that is melted into the wine, making it seamless in texture. It long and shy at the end, but displays its formed strength. Better after 2027.
The 2023 Chevalier-Montrachet Les Demoiselles Grand Cru is also a success, exhibiting notions of crisp orchard fruit, iodine and wet stones, followed by a medium to full-bodied, thick and textural palate that's deep, unctuous but vibrant, concluding with a long, saline finish.

About the producer
The Latour family has been growing vines in Burgundy since at least 1731. Their négociant business – today one of the region’s biggest names – was founded in 1797. Still family-owned today, the company owns 48 hectares of vines, 27 of which are Grand Cru, as well as its own cooperage.
