Smoky aromas include those of petrol, white orchard fruit, especially apple, lemon rind and a floral top note. The mouthfeel of the plump and generously proportioned medium weight flavors is succulent, even seductive, with its caressing, clean and dry finish that is sneaky long. This is quite forward and should drink well young. Drink 2027+

The 2023 Morey-Saint-Denis Village is pretty and expressive, bursting with aromas of plums, orange zest and spices, followed by a medium to full-bodied, supple and fleshy palate. It's fine-boned and immediate.

The 2023 Morey-Saint-Denis Village has an open bouquet with notes of wild strawberries, Morello cherries and a faint touch of damp loamy soil. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly grainy tannins. It has modest depth, attenuating a little toward the finish. Drink this over the next five or six years.

Solid purple, with a reductive nose, the village Morey is altogether brawnier, more concentrated, with dark red fruit, and clearly in need of more elevage. Perhaps the Morey suffers coming after the exquisite Cras. It will prove to be a very good wine when it settles down.
