Tasting notes
The 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard comes from a historic vineyard in Rutherford and is 100% Cabernet Sauvignon that spent 22 months in French oak. Its deep purple/ruby hue is followed by medium to full-bodied aromas and flavors of cassis, blue fruits, smoked tobacco, and spicy oak. It's beautifully balanced, has a lively spine of acidity, soft tannins, and a great finish. It's going to drink brilliantly over the coming 15 years or more.

Now that it has been bottled, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer Georges III Vineyard seems to lack some of the exciting herbal-floral notes that marked last year's barrel sample. Ripe cherries, dusty earth and hints of dried spices appear on the nose, while the full-bodied palate is silky textured and fine, finishing elegantly, with a hint of vanilla.
