Cask sample. Warmer and more open than the Fourneaux. Plush, hint of baked peach on the palate but the typical Chablis acidity keeps all in balance. Savoury, long, aftertaste. Precision here. (AWH)

The 2020 Chablis Montmains 1er Cru, expected to age in tank for 15 months, is already expressive on the nose, offering apple blossom, crushed limestone and light lemon peel scents. The palate is taut and fresh and very saline in the mouth, delivering good weight and impressive sapidity on the finish. Give this 3–4 years in bottle.
