Score 88/100 · Drink 2013-2015, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Dec 2011

The 2005 Brut Blanc de Blancs presents an intriguing combination of ripeness from the year and minerality from Cramant. It shows good energy and focus but also some early signs of advancement that suggest it won't be especially long-lived. Warm, spiced notes resonate on the rich, creamy finish. This is Lot LV06.

(all Cramant fruit): Pale yellow. Fresh pear and lemon rind on the nose, with notes of musky herbs, lees and dried flowers adding depth. Taut and focused on entry, then richer and broader in the mid-palate, offering sappy citrus rind and underripe orchard fruit flavors and a hint of tarragon. The bitter citrus quality carries through to the finish, which offers very good punch and bite.
